While you can measure your blood pressure using either wrist, we recommend measuring your left wrist or your non-dominant hand for a meaningful comparison. Try to measure under similar conditions, such as taking daily measurements at approximately the same time with the same arm position, or as directed by a physician.

How Tightly should I fasten my cuff & which arm should I use to measure? A good rule of thumb is that the cuff should be loose enough to fit your thumb under when fastened. You can use either arm, but you should use the same arm each time to get consistent readings.

Why do my blood pressure measurements fluctuate from reading to reading, even if I take them close together? Your blood pressure varies throughout the day—even from minute to minute—due to exercise, emotions, medications, and many other factors. It is also affected by the way you fasten your cuff and your measurement position. For these reasons, make sure you measure your blood pressure under the same conditions each time, and wait at least 3 minutes between measurements.

My Phone Won't Connect: What's Wrong? Bluetooth is a complex and evolving technology; while we've designed this monitor to be easy to use in most cases, there are many possible reasons you might have hit a snag. If you're having trouble setting up your monitor, make sure that your phone has the correct Bluetooth (Smart Bluetooth, also known as Bluetooth 4.0, or higher) to work with our monitor.

All Paired, Still Won't Sync to APP? If you've successfully set up your monitor already and it's stopped syncing, make sure your phone is awake and the Balance app is open when you're trying to sync. Then, verify that you've downloaded the latest version of the Balance Heath app and check the app to make sure your monitor is still paired. If it is, try to un-pair and then re-pair your device with the monitor and see if that resolves the issue. If you are still experiencing issues even after re-pairing, don't hesitate to let us know.
